HORTON PLAINS............

I've been in Grade 11 on a school trip and we went to see Horton Plains. Here is a note of what I learned about Horton Plains.

Horton Plains is a natural mountain place that has mist and cold in Sri Lanka. In the past it was known as 'Maha Eliya, Mhathenna, Wilmanthenna, and Gonathenna.' After the visit of Governor Robert Horton, this beautiful land, which attracted the attention of locals and foreigners alike, Around 1836 become known as "Horton Plains".

Horton Plains is a have for thieves. Herds of deer are common in this area. That is why it is called Gonathenna. Walking in Horton Plains s a difficult journey, but it's a lot of fun. Wind and fog are always present here.

However, the end of the world is approaching as we move forward on the midst of biodiversity. This is a beautiful place in the environment of Sri Lanka. Horton plains is an environmental university. It is rich in flora and fauna endemic to Sri Lanka. This is a natural forest park and forest reserve.

Here are some photos there.

These are my friends. I am so happy about this trip. On the way we were able to see a variety of plants here. I really enjoyed that day.
